Part I of this book is dedicated to clearing the cobwebs and preconceived notions surrounding democracy.
This part includes Chapter 2, devoted to democracy in the U.S.
Part I also includes Chapter 3 on democracy in Venezuela, Bolivia and Ecuador.
Parts II and III deal with Cuba: constitutions, elections, the functioning of the state between elections, and freedom of the press. They also deal with certain aspects of U.S. foreign policy toward Cuba, including democracy promotion.
The website provides additional information on these U.S. topics only.
